Overview
Blazer Jobs is seeking a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to serve students across schools in the Mount Prospect, IL area. This itinerant position supports students in multiple settings, providing specialized instruction and collaboration to promote access and academic success. ASL proficiency is preferred.
Compensation
Hourly pay rate is TBD based on experience and district placement. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel between school sites. Blazer Jobs ensures weekly pay and transparent compensation practices.

Job Responsibilities
• Provide specialized instruction and consultation for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Travel between assigned schools to deliver services and support teams
• Collaborate with general education teachers, interpreters, and families
• Adapt materials and environments to meet students’ communication needs
• Maintain progress documentation and compliance with IEP goals
Requirements
• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a DHH endorsement required
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred
• Experience providing itinerant or school-based services preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
