Job Description:
As a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with hearing loss, in collaboration with the student's IEP team and parents/guardians.
- Providing direct instruction in academic subjects, language development, communication skills, and other areas of the curriculum using appropriate teaching strategies and accommodations.
- Utilizing assistive technologies and resources to enhance learning opportunities and facilitate communication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Active DHHT certification and teaching experience
