Teacher of the Deaf in Nashua, NH
This part-time opportunity is for a skilled Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to provide specialized educational support for K-12 students across multiple locations within Nashua, NH. The position offers 18 hours per week in an onsite role, supporting a diverse caseload of students from kindergarten through high school. The contract spans the current school year, starting as soon as possible through June 19, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across all grade levels (K-12)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, speech therapists, and other specialists to ensure accessible learning environments
- Monitor student progress and adjust educational plans as needed to meet individual needs
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Provide communication skills support, including sign language and auditory training as appropriate
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active New Hampshire Teaching License
- Valid and current Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) license
- Experience working with DHH students in a K-12 setting
- Ability to manage a caseload spread across multiple locations within the district
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to work onsite exclusively
