About the Role:
We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) to provide remote educational support to students in Tennessee. This is a 1099 independent contractor position offering flexible hours and the opportunity to make a direct impact in the lives of students with hearing impairments across the state.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver virtual instruction and support to K–12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Collaborate with special education teams, IEP teams, and school staff.

Develop and implement individualized lesson plans based on student IEP goals.

Conduct assessments and contribute to the IEP process as needed.

Communicate regularly with families, school personnel, and other stakeholders.

Maintain detailed documentation and session logs in accordance with state and district policies.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Deaf Education or related field.

Valid Tennessee TDHH certification (or ability to obtain).

Previous experience working with deaf and hard of hearing students in a school or virtual setting.

Strong communication, collaboration, and time-management skills.

Comfortable with virtual platforms and digital learning tools.

Must provide own equipment and reliable internet connection.
