Position: Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
Location: Wilmington, DE (20 minute drive from New Castle, DE)
Schedule: Full-Time | 37.5 hours/week

Caseload Size: 20–30 students
Setting: Itinerant services across 27 schools/programs
Hourly Rate: $52+ (W-2)

Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified and passionate Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing for an itinerant role based in Wilmington, just 20 minutes from New Castle, for the 2025–2026 school year. As part of a dedicated district-wide DHH team, the teacher will support students across grade levels and schools, providing direct instruction, communication programming, and academic support in alignment with IEP goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver 1:1 cross-curricular academic instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Provide support in social, recreational, and communicative programming

Collaborate with IEP teams and other educators to develop and implement individualized plans

Travel between schools to support students in various learning environments

Maintain documentation and progress reports in accordance with district and state requirements
Requirements:

Active Delaware teaching license with certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education

School experience preferred

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Comfortable working in an itinerant setting
