ProCare Therapy is seeking qualified Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to join school districts across Louisiana for the 2025–2026 school year. We partner with districts statewide to connect passionate educators with positions supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students through individualized instruction and accessible learning.

Position Overview

Locations: Openings throughout Louisiana, including New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Lafayette, Lake Charles, and surrounding areas

Schedule: Full-time and part-time options available

Employment Type: W-2 contract for the 2025–2026 school year

Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly direct deposit

Contract Extension: Potential for renewal based on performance and district needs
Requirements
-
Valid Louisiana State Department of Education (LDOE) teaching certification with a Deaf and Hard of Hearing endorsement or eligibility to obtain

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)

Experience working with DHH students (preferred K–12)

Familiarity with IEP development, assistive technology, and inclusive teaching methods

Must meet all state and district employment standards
Responsibilities

Deliver direct, individualized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

Collaborate with general education teachers, interpreters, and support staff

Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs aligned with student needs

Use assistive technology and visual supports to ensure curriculum access

Promote student self-advocacy, communication, and academic achievement
