We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) to support students in a district in Norfolk, VA. This is a contracted position with our district partnered with Sunbelt Staffing.
TDHH Position Details:

Full-time position - 35 hours per week

Assigned to support 1 school

Small caseload of 8 students

Student population: Kindergarten through 5th grade
TDHH Responsibilities
-
Provide direct and consultative services to K–5 students who are deaf or hard of hearing
-
Support communication, language, and listening goals aligned with IEPs
-
Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to ensure classroom access
-
Adapt instructional materials and implement appropriate accommodations
-
Support assistive listening devices and monitor student progress

Participate in IEP meetings and documentation
Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Qualifications (Required):
-
Active Virginia DOE certification required
-
Provisional certification will be considered
-
School-based experience preferred
Compensation (Based on Experience)

0–2 years: $42–45/hour

3–5 years: $45–48/hour
-
6–9 years: $48–51/hour
-
10+ years: $51–54/hour
