ProCare Therapy is actively hiring a qualified and enthusiastic Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to join a welcoming school district in Oak Forest, Illinois. In this on-site role, you will make a direct impact on students with hearing impairments by providing specialized instruction tailored to their individual needs.
Position Details:

Develop and implement IEPs for each student, focusing on both academic and communication goals

Deliver instruction across core subjects using appropriate communication methods, including ASL
-
Monitor student progress, maintain records, and adjust teaching plans as needed

Support student growth by collaborating with teachers, specialists, and families

Foster an inclusive and accessible learning environment for all students
Candidate Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or Special Education

Valid Illinois certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education
-
Strong skills in ASL and other visual/auditory teaching strategies

Prior experience with DHH students is preferred

Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
