Position Summary
As a DHH teacher, you’ll provide direct instruction, consultation, and advocacy to support students with hearing loss. You'll collaborate with educators, service providers, and families to ensure individualized learning experiences that promote language development and academic achievement.
Key Responsibilities:

Implement IEPs that support communication, access, and learning goals

Deliver direct instruction tailored to individual student needs

Utilize ASL, spoken English, or total communication as appropriate

Coordinate with interpreters, audiologists, and school staff

Incorporate assistive technology and instructional accommodations

Maintain accurate documentation of student services and progress
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field

Valid California Education Specialist Credential in DHH (or eligibility to obtain)

Proficiency in ASL and/or spoken language strategies
-
School-based experience strongly preferred
-
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
