Compensation Packages

Local Candidates: $58–$66 per hour, based on experience and credentials.

Travel Candidates: $2000–$2400 weekly take-home pay. Travel packages include a lower taxable hourly rate, supplemented by housing and meal stipends, creating additional financial value.

DHH Teacher Responsibilities

Design and implement specialized instruction for students with hearing impairments.

Collaborate with teachers, interpreters, and other support staff to ensure inclusive learning.

Develop and monitor IEPs in compliance with IDEA and California education standards.

Utilize assistive technologies and communication strategies to maximize student success.

Support students’ social, emotional, and academic growth.

Provide resources and guidance for families to encourage engagement at home.
Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field.

Active California teaching credential with authorization in DHH education.

Proficiency in ASL or other communication methods is highly valued.

School-based experience preferred.

Must pass all state and federal background checks.
