Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) – Oxford, NJ
Pay: From $34-$40/hr, based off experience

Blazer Jobs is actively hiring an experienced Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for a part-time role in Oxford, New Jersey. This position is perfect for an educator who is passionate about supporting students with hearing impairments and ensuring equitable access to communication and learning.

Requirements (New Jersey):

  • Valid New Jersey teaching certification with Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing endorsement

  • Experience working with students who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have auditory processing challenges

  • Knowledge of sign language, auditory-verbal strategies, and assistive technology devices preferred

  • Ability to collaborate with general education staff, families, and related service providers

  • Must complete district and NJ DOE background check requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing across grade levels

  • Adapt and modify curriculum to ensure access to classroom content

  • Provide direct and consultative services in line with IEP requirements

  • Train and collaborate with teachers and paraprofessionals on strategies to support student learning

  • Advocate for accessibility needs and help foster an inclusive classroom environment
