Soliant Education is seeking a certified Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for an onsite, full-time position in Philadelphia, PA for the 2025–2026 school year. This role focuses on high school-level Math instruction, with a caseload of approximately 55 students across 4 different classes, including Algebra and Personal Finance.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who wants to make a lasting impact on the lives of deaf and hard of hearing students.
Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction in high school Math (e.g., Algebra, Personal Finance) to deaf and hard of hearing students.

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs and grade levels.

Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with significantly lower reading levels (1st–4th grade).

Collaborate with general and special education staff, interpreters, and families to support student progress.

Maintain records, complete assessments, and participate in IEP meetings as required.
Requirements:

Valid Pennsylvania Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (required).

Ability to teach high school-level Math courses.

Preferred: Pennsylvania Certification in High School Mathematics.

Experience working with deaf and hard of hearing students is strongly preferred.

Experience working with special education populations is a plus.
-
Must be comfortable working in an onsite school environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly Pay Range: $45–$55 per hour (based on experience and credentials)
