Responsibilities:
- Provide direct teaching and consultative services to a caseload currently comprised of 12 students receiving direct instruction and 7 consultation cases.
- Support students with multiple disabilities across various classroom settings, including General Education and ESE (Exceptional Student Education) from Pre-Kindergarten through age 22.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the specific needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure academic and social growth.
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies as necessary.
- Foster an inclusive learning environment that supports both academic skills and communication development.
Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure relevant to teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Experience working with K-12 students in educational settings.
- Ability to manage a caseload with diverse needs, including students with multiple disabilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
- Knowledge of current teaching methods and accommodations for Deaf and Hard of Hearing learners.
