A full-time Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing position is available supporting early elementary students in the Virginia Beach area. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Deliver specialized instruction that supports language development, auditory training, and communication skills.
- Collaborate with families, general education teachers, and related service providers to support student success.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state requirements.
Qualifications:
- Active Virginia Department of Education (VA DOE) certification in Deaf/Hearing Impaired education.
- Experience working with students in Kindergarten through 5th grade, specifically in the Deaf/Hard of Hearing discipline.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage a focused caseload within a structured school setting.
