Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain specialized programming for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Create and manage an effective classroom environment tailored to students’ unique needs
- Deliver instruction in accordance with special education and hearing-impaired curricula
- Collaborate with school districts to implement comprehensive deaf/hard of hearing services
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
Required Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Certification in Special Education for Hearing Impaired
- Proven experience working with deaf or hard of hearing students in an educational setting
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Commitment to professional development and adherence to state education standards
