A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing serving K-12 students near Issaquah, WA. This itinerant role supports approximately 20 to 35 elementary and secondary students across multiple schools, with a current schedule of .6 FTE (3 days per week) from ASAP through June 17, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring access to the general curriculum.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and related service providers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Conduct assessments and monitor student progress to adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Facilitate communication access through assistive technology and other accommodations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) license.
- Education Staff Associate (ESA) certification.
- Experience working with K-12 students in an itinerant capacity preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with students, families, and staff.
Location: Renton, Washington, servicing schools in the surrounding area.
