Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Los Angeles, CA
A full-time opportunity is available for an experienced Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to provide specialized support for students within a K-12 school setting in Los Angeles, CA. This contract position runs from January 5, 2026, through June 5, 2026, serving a diverse caseload of 35 students, including infants through age 22.
Responsibilities include delivering early intervention services, conducting consultations, and actively participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings. The role is itinerant and onsite, offering professional support within the program. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated expertise working with infants and familiarity with Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP).
Key qualifications and experience:
- Valid California Teaching Credential: Education Specialist Instruction Credential with Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) Authorization
- Experience providing services to students aged infant through 22 years
- Skilled in early intervention techniques and IFSP implementation
- Ability to manage a caseload of 35 students effectively
- Proven experience in conducting consults and collaborating on IEPs
- Comfortable working in an itinerant onsite capacity
