Teletherapy - North Dakota Occupational Therapist School based position

 Fully Virtual Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Position 

Location : Minnesota Based (Remote) 

Position Overview:
As a Virtual Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, you will create and deliver individualized lessons tailored to meet students' academic and communication needs in a remote setting. Collaboration with families and staff will be key to ensuring student success.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized or group lessons.
• Utilize online platforms and assistive technologies.
• Monitor student progress and adjust lessons as needed.
• Collaborate with families, IEP teams, and educators.
• Foster a positive, inclusive virtual learning environment.
• Stay current with best practices for virtual teaching.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (or eligibility in Minnesota).
• Proficiency in ASL or other communication methods.
• Experience teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing students (virtual preferred).
• Familiarity with online teaching platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with students who have additional disabilities.
• Knowledge of Minnesota IEP procedures and state education requirements.
• Familiarity with assistive technologies.
