Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Concord, North Carolina
Located in Concord, NC, this full-time, on-site position offers an opportunity to provide specialized instruction as a Teacher for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students within a supportive school environment. Serving approximately 10–12 students, you will play a vital role in delivering tailored educational services aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study and Special Education requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Special Education services according to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) using evidence-based practices
- Develop and implement lesson plans with differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Conduct screenings and evaluations to inform instructional planning
- Actively participate in the IEP process, including documenting present levels of performance, goals, and services
- Monitor student progress, manage classroom behavior, and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment
- Maintain all required documentation such as notes, summaries, and IEP records
- Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families to support student success
Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) DHH Professional Educator’s License (submission of an active license screenshot required)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with educational teams and families
- Experience in delivering instruction aligned with state standards for special education
Location & Schedule:
- Concord, NC
- Full-time, 40 hours per week following a school-based schedule
- On-site position only
