Job Title: Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Position: Full-Time, Onsite
Dates: January 6, 2026 – May 29, 2026
Hours: 35 hours/week
Overview:
We are seeking a full-time, onsite Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to support students during the 2025–2026 school year. This role focuses on early elementary learners and provides specialized instructional and communication support in a school-based setting. The ideal candidate is confident working with young students, fluent in American Sign Language, and experienced collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure student access and success.
Responsibilities:

Provide direct instructional and communication support to kindergarten-aged students

Support language development and access to curriculum using American Sign Language

Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and related service providers

Participate in meetings, documentation, and progress monitoring as required
Qualifications:

Active Educator Certification with endorsement as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)

Ability to demonstrate ASL proficiency during the interview process

Prior school-based experience preferred

Strong collaboration and communication skills
