Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Kindergarten
We are seeking one full-time Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to support a Kindergarten-only caseload in an onsite school-based setting within the San Antonio area. Campuses will be assigned based on program needs. This role requires strong instructional skills and the ability to support early learners in a specialized educational environment. ASL fluency must be demonstrated during the interview process.
School district details will be disclosed upon candidate qualification.
Qualifications

Active Texas Educator Certification (required)

Endorsement or authorization to teach students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

ASL fluency required (demonstration during interview)

Experience working with early childhood or kindergarten-aged students preferred

Ability to provide documentation and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Photos of all certifications and licenses must be submitted with presentation

Professional references must be available at time of submission
Compensation & Support

$48–60/hour DOE (average ~$54/hour, with strong earning potential based on experience)

Full-time schedule at 35 hours per week

Long-term assignment through the 2025–2026 school year

Recruiter support throughout onboarding and placement

Ongoing communication and advocacy during the assignment
