Qualifications:
- PDE Certification in Special Education – Hearing Impaired (required)
- Demonstrated experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique hearing and learning needs
- Utilize specialized teaching strategies and assistive technologies to maximize student engagement and achievement
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches accordingly
- Collaborate with general education staff, speech therapists, audiologists, and families to support student success
- Maintain detailed records and participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in Deaf education
Work Schedule and Caseload:
- Contract position for the current school year (CSY)
- 35 hours per week over 5 days
- Serving a caseload of students requiring specialized hearing-impaired education services
