Blazer Jobs, in partnership with the Schnecksville School District, is seeking a dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to join our team for the current school year. This is a full-time, onsite position offering a dynamic and supportive work environment, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits.

Position Overview:
As the Hearing Impaired Teacher, you will play a vital role in the development and implementation of programs for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. You will manage a caseload of students, create and maintain an inclusive classroom environment, and implement instruction in alignment with the district’s Special Education and DHH programs. Your expertise will help shape the academic, social, and emotional growth of students in the Schnecksville School District within the CLIU.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

  • Provide direct instruction in reading, writing, math, and other curriculum areas tailored to students’ needs.

  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction to meet individual learning goals.

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success.

  • Maintain a structured, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.

  • Manage all aspects of the DHH program, including speech, language, and assistive technology supports.

State Requirements:

  • PDE Certification in Special Education – Hearing Impaired, required

  • Strong knowledge of DHH instructional strategies and assistive technology

  • Experience with IEP development and compliance

  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families
