Job Title: Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (DHHT)

We are currently seeking a certified Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to join our team in Seattle, Washington. This role focuses on providing individualized instruction and support to students with hearing loss, ensuring equitable access to education and fostering strong language and communication development in inclusive learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in individual or small group settings

Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the IEP team
-
Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to align with students' communication preferences and educational needs

Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and related service providers to support student success

Maintain detailed and timely records of student progress and services delivered
Qualifications:
-
Valid Washington Department of Education certification to teach students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Familiarity with various communication methods; proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is preferred

Experience working with students with diverse learning needs

Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills

Commitment to inclusive and student-centered education
Compensation and Benefits:
