Blazer Jobs is working with a respected school district in Seattle, WA, to hire a qualified Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for the upcoming 2025–2026 academic year. This is a full-time, in-person role supporting students with hearing impairments across educational settings.
Location: Seattle, WA
School Year: 2025–2026
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct and consultative instructional services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's communication and academic needs

Collaborate with general and special education staff, families, and support service providers

Adapt curriculum and materials to accommodate auditory access

Support students in developing self-advocacy, communication, and language skills
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field
-
Valid Washington state teaching certification with a DHH endorsement
-
Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in school settings preferred

Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills

Familiarity with assistive listening devices and auditory support services is a plus
