Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teachers | Contract Opportunity | School Year 2025-2026
Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to serve a trusted school district in Seattle, Washington. This is a full-time, onsite contract position for the 2025–2026 academic year.
Starting pay is $45 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Primary Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and support services to students who are deaf, going deaf, or have limited hearing

Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs

Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families
-
Participate in IEP meetings and ensure student goals are effectively implemented

Support students in both academic and functional communication settings
Licensing and Skill Requirements:

Must be proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)

Master’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field
-
Valid Washington State Department of Education (WA DOE) Certification
-
Washington State DHH Certification
-
Must pass background check, fingerprinting, and drug screening
