Blazer Jobs is hiring licensed Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teachers to support school districts in Seattle, WA. This full-time role is open to both local candidates seeking consistent school-year placements and travel professionals interested in flexible contracts with competitive pay.

Position Overview:
Provide direct instruction and support to K–12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Collaborate with special education teams, general education staff, and families to ensure language development, academic progress, and full access to curriculum.

Employment Options:
1. Local W-2 Employment through Blazer Jobs:

2. Travel W-2 Contract:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing

  • Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with special education teams

  • Provide language and literacy support using best practices in Deaf Education

  • Ensure accessibility through assistive technology and classroom accommodations

  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate progress to families and staff

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field

  • Valid Washington State DHH Teacher certification (or eligibility)

  • Prior school-based experience preferred

  • Must pass background and fingerprint clearance
