Blazer Jobs is partnering with schools in the Seattle, WA area to hire a dedicated Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHHT) for a full-time contract position. This is an excellent opportunity to provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a collaborative educational setting.
Responsibilities

Provide direct and consultative instructional services to students with hearing impairments.

Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet individual communication and learning needs.

Collaborate with classroom teachers, interpreters, families, and related service providers.

Support students in developing language, literacy, communication, and academic skills.

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations.

Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements.
Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Deaf Education or related field.

Active Washington state teaching certification with endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education (or eligibility).

Proficiency in sign language and/or other communication methods used by students.

Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
