State and Federal Requirements:

Valid Washington State teaching certificate with Deaf Education endorsement.

Knowledge of and adherence to IDEA, ADA, and Section 504.

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred.

Background check and fingerprinting in compliance with state and district policies.
Job Description/Duties:

Provide direct and consultative instructional support for DHH students

Use various communication methods including ASL, total communication, or oral approaches

Collaborate with general education teachers and IEP teams

Monitor student progress and contribute to IEP development
