Position Overview:
The DHH Educator will provide specialized support for students with hearing loss in both classroom and school-related settings. This role involves working closely with general education teachers, special education staff, and families to develop individualized learning plans and ensure student success academically, socially, and communicatively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Facilitate communication using American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication systems
- Implement IEP/504 accommodations and track student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support learning goals
- Support inclusion and accessibility in classrooms and school activities
- Maintain accurate documentation and professional standards
- Proficiency in ASL
- RID/NIC Certification, EIPA, or equivalent state-recognized credential preferred
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience highly valued
- Must pass background and fingerprint checks
