Position Overview:
We are seeking passionate and qualified Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) to provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf, becoming deaf, or have limited hearing. This is a full-time position for the 2025–2026 school year with opportunities across multiple school sites in Washington. The TDHH will play a key role in delivering equitable, inclusive education to students from preschool through high school.

3 of the 4 positions: 18 students per caseload

Age Group: Varies (PreK–12)

Caseloads and school assignments will be finalized during the interview process
Key Responsibilities:
-
Provide direct instruction and services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in accordance with IEP goals

Collaborate with general education teachers, interpreters, audiologists, and other specialists to support student learning

Adapt curriculum and modify instructional strategies to meet the unique needs of each student

Conduct assessments, participate in IEP meetings, and maintain accurate service records

Utilize American Sign Language (ASL) fluently during instruction and communication with students and staff
Qualifications Required:

Master’s Degree in Deaf Education or related field

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)

Active Washington State DHH Certification
-
Active WA State Department of Education (DOE) Certification

Previous experience in educational settings preferred
