Position Overview
Soliant is seeking a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for a full-time position near Chesapeake, Virginia for the 2025/2026 school year. The educator will serve students with varying levels of hearing loss in both inclusion and resource settings, supporting their communication and academic development.
Responsibilities
- 
	Provide direct and consultative services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing 
- 
	Develop and implement IEP goals aligned with each student’s communication needs 
- 
	Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, general education teachers, and interpreters 
- 
	Support the use of assistive listening and amplification devices 
- 
	Maintain accurate documentation and student progress records 
Qualifications
- 
	Active Virginia Teaching License with Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement (required) 
- 
	Knowledge of auditory training and language development strategies 
- 
	Strong collaboration and communication skills

? Competitive hourly rate ($38–$48/hour based on experience)
