We are currently seeking DHH Teachers for positions in two vibrant cities:

Tallahassee, FL
New Orleans, LA

Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction and support for students with hearing impairments in the classroom.
Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of each student.
Collaborate with other educators and staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies based on their development.
Ensure all students can access the curriculum, promoting inclusion in all activities.
Advocate for students' communication and emotional needs to foster their overall well-being.
Regularly communicate with parents and guardians about student progress and concerns.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field.
Valid state certification in Deaf Education or equivalent (or eligibility to obtain certification in the state of placement).
Experience working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students, preferably in an educational setting.
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other alternative communication methods.
Strong collaboration skills with educators, therapists, and administrators.
A passion for creating an inclusive and empowering learning environment for students.
