Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) – Summerville, SC
Pay: From $33-$35/hr, based off experienceBlazer Jobs is interviewing experienced Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for a full-time school-based position in Summerville, South Carolina. This district is looking for a skilled educator who can provide direct and consultative services to students with hearing impairments across various grade levels.
Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction and support services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Collaborate with general education teachers, special educators, and related service providers

Assist with IEP development and ensure accommodations are implemented appropriately

Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation

Support assistive technology use and help staff understand hearing-related needs
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field

Valid South Carolina teaching certification with a DHH endorsement (or eligibility)

Experience working with students with hearing impairments preferred

Strong communication and collaboration skills
