Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct instructional support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet individual communication and learning needs

Support students using a variety of communication methods (e.g., spoken language, sign language, assistive technology)

Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and related service providers

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress monitoring

Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
Qualifications:

Valid South Carolina DHH teaching certification or eligibility

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field

School-based experience preferred

Strong communication and collaboration skills
