Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) with Aural Habilitation Experience Tacoma, WA
We’re seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to join our team in Tacoma, WA! This is an onsite position serving students through June 16, 2026, with 37.5 hours per week.

About the Role:
The successful applicant will provide specialized instruction and support to students with hearing loss across a range of educational settings. This role focuses on fostering communication skills, academic success, and social-emotional development through evidence-based aural habilitation techniques.
Requirements:
- Active Washington State teaching certificate with a Special Education/Deaf Education endorsement
- Must be fingerprinted through OSPI
- Experience in aural habilitation
- Strong communication, collaboration, and teaming skills
- Prior experience providing special education services in both special education and general education environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Successful prior experience teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Deep understanding of research-based strategies for students with hearing loss
- Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with families, teachers, and support staff
