Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related discipline

Valid Washington State teaching certification with an endorsement in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with auditory-oral communication methods

Understanding of assistive technology, FM systems, and adaptive instructional strategies

Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to support student success
Job Duties:

Develop and implement individualized instructional programs based on each student’s IEP

Support communication development through visual and auditory methods

Collaborate with classroom teachers, interpreters, and related service providers

Provide family education and guidance to promote continued learning at home

Maintain progress documentation and participate in IEP meetings
