Position Overview
The successful applicant will provide specialized instruction and support to students with hearing loss in a variety of educational settings. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and teaming skills, and have prior experience providing special education services within both general and special education environments.
Requirements

Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with Deaf Education or Special Education Endorsement

Experience in aural habilitation required

Knowledge of research-based instructional strategies and current special education laws and regulations

Strong ability to collaborate with staff and parents to support student success
Preferred Qualifications

Valid WA State teaching certificate with Deaf Education or Special Education endorsement

Demonstrated teaching skills in core academic subjects per NCLB highly qualified definitions

Previous special education teaching experience

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
