Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Itinerant Opening California
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to support students in Vallejo, California. This role involves providing specialized instruction and support services to students with hearing impairments in a variety of educational settings. The ideal candidate will have a passion for inclusive education and a strong understanding of the communication, academic, and social-emotional needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Job Details
Location: Vallejo California
Hours: Full Time (30-40 hours per week)
Start Date: New School Year
Hourly pay: $40 + depending on experience and education
Caseload Details
-Provide direct and consultative services to students with hearing impairments
-Collaborate with general and special education staff, audiologists, and families
-Support development of auditory skills, speech, language, and academic access
-Assist with accommodations, FM systems, and classroom modifications
-Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliance with California Ed Code and IDEA
Requirements:
-Valid California Education Specialist Credential: Deaf and Hard of Hearing
-Reliable Transportation
-Knowledge of hearing assistive technology and communication strategies
