Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Collaborate with general and special education staff to implement accommodations and modifications

Participate in IEP development and progress monitoring

Foster language development through various communication modalities, including ASL if applicable

Serve as a resource for staff and families regarding hearing loss and educational strategies
Requirements:

Valid Virginia teaching license with Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) endorsement

Experience with K–12 students in school settings preferred

Proficiency in ASL or other communication systems (preferred but not required)

Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
