Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to foster student success
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with district requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Virginia Department of Education teaching certification in Deaf / Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with K-5 students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred
- Ability to manage a small caseload effectively and provide individualized support
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
