Soliant Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for a contract position in the Waterbury, CT area. This is an onsite role for the 2024–2025 school year, supporting a caseload of 8 students. Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
-
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
-
Collaborate with classroom teachers, staff, and families to support student success
-
Use appropriate communication methods (ASL, oral, cued speech, etc.) based on student needs

Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
-
Advocate for student access to educational opportunities and accommodations
Requirements:
-
Valid Connecticut Teaching Certification with endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing

Experience working with DHH students preferred
-
Strong communication and collaboration skills

Must be comfortable working onsite

Ability to pass a background check and other district requirements
Compensation & Benefits:

Hourly Pay: $45–$55 per hour, based on experience
