Texas Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (Virtual)
Soliant is hiring a Remote Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to provide virtual support and instruction to students with hearing impairments across multiple schools in Texas. This role is perfect for a skilled, tech-savvy educator who is passionate about accessible learning and wants to make a difference from a distance.
As a member of a collaborative special education team, you’ll play a key role in helping students with hearing differences succeed academically and socially by delivering tailored instruction and ensuring services are implemented with fidelity.
Your Impact:

Deliver engaging, individualized virtual instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, from early childhood through high school.

Use a variety of communication methods and assistive technologies to ensure access to the curriculum.

Serve as the DHH expert on students’ IEP teams, contributing to planning and implementation of supports.

Write, revise, and implement goals and services as part of the ARD process.

Collaborate regularly with teachers, interpreters, audiologists, parents, and related service providers.

Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals and provide input for progress reports and reevaluations.

Support school teams in understanding hearing loss, accommodations, and accessible instructional strategies.
What You Bring:

A valid Texas Educator Certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

At least 2 years of recent teaching experience with DHH students.

Confidence and competence in navigating the ARD/IEP process.

A proactive, collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams.

Reliable internet access and comfort using virtual platforms for instruction and communication.

Ability to adapt and deliver lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.
Bonus If You Have:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication modes used by DHH students.

Experience in remote instruction or virtual service delivery.

Familiarity with hearing assistive technology and captioning tools.

Participation in virtual ARDs, planning meetings, and student sessions is required
