(DHH) SY 25-26 Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Itinerant Position

About the Position
In this district-wide role, the DHH teacher will work with students from Pre-K to 12th grade across 27 school sites/programs. The educator will provide individualized academic instruction and communication support tailored to each student’s needs while promoting social and recreational growth. This is a fully onsite role for the 2025–2026 academic year.
What You’ll Do

Deliver 1:1 cross-curricular academic instruction for students with hearing impairments

Address student needs in both academic and social/recreational contexts

Provide communication programming and consult with school teams

Travel between assigned schools to provide direct service and consultation

Maintain detailed student records aligned with IEP goals and state/district guidelines

Foster self-advocacy and independence in all learning environments
Required Qualifications

Delaware Teaching License with appropriate endorsement to teach DHH students

Experience in a school setting is strongly preferred

Must be available for full-time, onsite work only

Strong skills in time management, communication, and collaborative instruction

Ability to support diverse learners as part of a larger multidisciplinary team
