ProCare Therapy is currently seeking qualified Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for the 2025–2026 school year in California. We're hiring across the state to support students in K–12 public schools who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing and in need of accessible, individualized instruction.

Position Overview

Locations: Statewide openings including Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, Fresno, Central Valley, Inland Empire, and surrounding areas

Schedule: Full-time and part-time positions available

Employment Type: W-2 contract for the 2025–2026 school year

Compensation: Competitive hourly pay with weekly direct deposit

Extension: High potential for contract renewal based on district needs and performance
Minimum Requirements
-
Valid California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) credential with a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Authorization, or eligibility to obtain
-
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
-
Prior experience working with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in educational settings (preferred, K–12)

Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
-
Knowledge of auditory equipment, assistive technology, and accessible instructional strategies

Must meet all local and state employment requirements
Key Responsibilities
-
Deliver direct instruction to DHH students using individualized methods and communication strategies

Develop and monitor IEPs in collaboration with IEP teams, families, and service providers

Support access to general education curriculum through accommodations, modifications, and assistive technology

Collaborate with general education teachers, interpreters, speech-language pathologists, and support staff

Promote students’ self-advocacy, independence, and academic growth
