About the Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Role
In this role, you will provide specialized instruction and consultative support to students with hearing impairments to ensure access to academic content and classroom communication. You will collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and related service providers to support inclusive educational practices.
Responsibilities may include adapting instructional materials, supporting communication modalities, participating in IEP development and implementation, monitoring student progress, and assisting with the use of assistive listening devices. Requirements for the Role
Candidates must meet California education, certification, and licensure requirements, including:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field
