Job Opportunity: Specialized Teacher for Students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
Location: Gillette, WY
Duration: Full-time position for the 2025-2026 school year
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated professional to join our educational team and support students who are deaf or hard of hearing. This role is within a K-12 setting in Gillette, WY, and will involve working closely with a diverse student group to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Required Qualifications:

Eligibility for Wyoming teaching licensure
-
Special Education certification
-
Proficiency in Sign Language
-
Experience with Assistive Technology for hearing impairments (e.g., FM Systems)

Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language or Special Education is a plus
Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to address students' unique needs
-
Collaborate with staff to foster an inclusive classroom environment

Provide direct teaching and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
-
Keep accurate records of student progress and attendance
-
Assist students in using assistive technology when necessary

Participate in professional development and team meetings
