What You’ll Do:
- Work with a small caseload of students, providing personalized, high-impact instruction.
- Deliver direct instruction to students who are Deaf, hard of hearing, or in the process of losing their hearing.
- Support student development in language, literacy, and communication through customized teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to promote a fully inclusive learning environment.
What You’ll Need:
- Master’s Degree in Deaf Education or related field
- State Certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education (DHH/DHHT)
- Active Illinois DOE Certification
- Prior experience in school settings is strongly preferred
- Deep empathy, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to student growth
