Job Opportunity: Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher for 2024/2025 School Year

Position: Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher
Location: Thomas, GA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Dates: ASAP - May 23, 2025
Hours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Job Details:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to join our team for the 2024/2025 school year. This full-time position involves working onsite and providing specialized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing. The specific caseload will be discussed during the interview.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and group instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student development.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Participate in professional development and training activities.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) teaching certificate in Georgia.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor.
