Job Details:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to join our team for the 2024/2025 school year. This full-time position involves working onsite and providing specialized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing. The specific caseload will be discussed during the interview.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student development.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Participate in professional development and training activities.
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) teaching certificate in Georgia.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
