School Year: 2026–2027 (Approx. September 4, 2026 – June 1, 2027)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) for a full-time, onsite role in Binghamton, NY for the 2026–2027 school year. This position offers the opportunity to support students with hearing impairments in a collaborative school environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Develop and implement IEP goals tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Support communication development and access to curriculum
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
Qualifications
- Valid NY State certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (or eligibility)
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
